I think the thing that most people are missing is the logical fallacy in the arguement and emorage of carebears. As she says, carebears in the negative context she uses are the AFK idiots who do not tank their ships or watch dscan. EvE DOES support both playstyles, however it supports those who are actually playing and aware. That's why there is only a small penalty to suicide ganking IMO. Because the gankers kill the unaware, untanked and oblivious. I live in wspace so I don't even have local. You better believe I'm watching directional like a hawk when mining or even doing combat sites. If you can't do that CCP should not help or listen to you. Many of the destroyed miners continued their macro scripts. That's the problem with those carebears. EvE is a game to be played.

Man, I agree with your viewpoint 100%. The game is meant for everyone and there are many types who put countless hours into this game. Even though I try to feel as detached from my ship as I can, I would never expect anyone to be excited about a ship loss. Not only is that isk that is lost but more time spent grabbing a new ship and re-fitting it instead of doing what you want to be doing in EvE. It strikes me as so odd that the pirates who claim to love "carebear tears" would ever be upset at getting exactly what they wanted.
